THIS is the supposed phrase somebody or something from outer space would utter after landing on earth and meeting its first human being.
If that human being happens to be an officer form the Metropolitan police then the language barrier will be no problem because an interpreter will be found in no time at all so that both parties can understand exactly what is going on.
I am writing this with a grin on my face because I have just read that the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) spends in excess of £7 million a year hiring interpreters for foreign criminals, many of whom claim to come from countries that no longer exist and whose languages are extinct.
