Mijas’s Youth Department is offering two free job training courses in English. The courses, open to registered residents of the town aged under 35, are for lifeguarding (40 hours, beginning February 1) and for working as monitor of children’s activities (34 hours, beginning April 20). They are based on a need for English speakers in these positions at local hotels and community pools, said officials.
